Identity politics burnout

I can relate to this.  I often wonder how these people with overly complicated identities deal in the real world, which isn't Tumblr and is not a college campus. If they exist in a bubble that grants legitimacy to their vanity genders or their vanity sexualities, I'd say they're pretty high up on the entitlement scale. Maybe it's age, maybe it's a generational thing, and maybe it's a class thing (or, most likely, all three), but I have to roll my eyes when someone "demands" that their identity be validated. Not just given the same rights as everyone else, but that their whole ideology be embraced or it's "violence."
