Said to Lady Journos examines sexism in the journalism world

Thanks to Ms. Magazine for hipping me to Said to Lady Journos , a Tumblr dedicated to exposing sexist crap said to female journalists. Here are just a few examples:

“How does your dad feel about what you do for a living?” 

“Wouldn’t you rather be writing about fashion?”

 “Once you have children, you won’t be able to do this job anymore.” 

“You need to stop messing with your hair. You probably don’t realize the affect it’s having. This is a room full of men. If I’m aroused, the councillors probably are, as well. How are they expected to make any decisions when you’re doing that?”

And this, submitted more than once, which I find particularly demoralizing:
