I have a thousand reasons why I didn't -- nor have I ever -- attended SXSW. (Hint: too poor to travel is 1-999.) Normally, I would have supplied a handful of links to bloggers who did go and reported back, but I spent the brunt of my internet time the past few days reading the tributes to Alex Chilton that kept pouring in as fans (and fellow musicians) got wind of the news.
