Rewind: Gossip - Standing in the Way of Control

When the weather turns, I like to run. Unfortunately, my iPod had been stuck on mopey, singer-songwriter types for a while, and I needed music to make me, well, actually want to move. So sandwiched between recent downloads from Robyn and Scissor Sisters is an old favorite, Gossip's Standing in the Way of Control.

I have a confession to make: the only way I can really tolerate punk rock is for it to be exceedingly danceable. Conversely, I don't really like "dance" music unless it's tinge with punk. The Gossip's Standing in the Way of Control is a nice marriage of the two -- with a little R&B thrown in for good measure. And who doesn't love cowbell?
