Earworm of the Day: Bruce Springsteen - American Skin (41 Shots)

Speaking of Springsteen, here's his performance of "American Skin (41 Shots)" in Tampa just over a week ago.

The decade-old song was inspired by the death of Amadou Diallo, a 23-year-old Guinean immigrant who was shot and killed by in 1999 by four plain-clothed NYC police officers. (source ) Springsteen first performed the song in 2000, but in light of the death of Trayvon Martin (to whom he dedicated the song during the Tampa performance), it resonates just as much today.

Here are the lyrics courtesy of Jill from Feministe.
