Earworm of the Day: Thea Gilmore - Crazy Love

This is one of my favorite, little-known Van Morrison covers.

I have a weird relationship with Morrison's music: it sounds like it should have been the soundtrack to my early childhood, but really most of his I picked up by way of bad movie soundtracks. (Ask me about how I can't listen to "Into the Mystic" anymore without being reminded of a pregnant Mary Stuart Masterson dancing with Glenn Close in the long-forgotten Immediate Family.) Thea Gilmore I hipped to through a Replacements message board (she covered one of Paul Westerberg's songs on the same album), and recently rediscovered her take on "Crazy Love."
