Project ReRead

Generally I don't do reading projects, but after a little spring cleaning, and taking loads of books to the basement for storage (which isn't really an option -- I live in a small apartment with no shelf space), I thought maybe I should give some of these books a second look. Not the ones that necessarily forced any sort of "click" moment, but the pop feminist tomes that got tons of press in the early-to-mid 90s, the ones I cringe at reading now.

This is what I have so far:

The Beauty Myth - Naomi Wolf
Backlash - Susan Faludi
Bitch: In Praise of Difficult Women - Elizabeth Wurtzel
Sexual Personae - Camille Paglia

I have no idea where I'm going with this. Truthfully,  I secretly like a lot of these books (I'm a crypto-Paglia fan -- sssh) even if I no longer agree with the ideology, and they all smack of that era when feminism was allegedly dead, and being resurrected wearing fishnets and lipstick.
