Outrage Ennui

I could probably come up with a few reasons why the feminist blog world at large appears to be dying a slow and painful death. These things are cyclical. Blogs come and go and the apathy that comes from posting every day, particularly posting without the promise of reward or fulfillment, is a given once you've been in the game for a while. But I think this is different, and I'm not the only one . Is the Feminist/SJ blogophere finally starting to eat itself?

Between outrage fatigue and ignoring large parts of its audience, I think a lot of readers have had it if site like these are any indication. So what needs to change? Better moderating for one. We've reached a point where the fear of being accused of "policing someone's anger" means a lot of combative behavior slips by uncorrected. And the long-running complaint of the lack of diversity in the "Big F" feminist sites still stands.
