Someone on another site said this song was part of the "soundtrack to the end of 1999," and I'd have to agree. As the 90s took its last gasp I was mostly done with traditional radio and moving on to the (then) wide-open world of online radio. However, KDHX's late night programming featured some of the trippiest sounds a girl trapped in a red state could find. Dot Allison's Afterglow was all over the airwaves -- albeit in my tiny world of community and college radio. My world has expanded since, but this song stayed on my playlist as a reminder of a time when I was grateful for scratchy, low-power radio.
(Note: This was the only version of this song I could find. Sorry for the crappy audio.)
