Earworm of the Day: The Smiths - There Is a Light That Never Goes Out
I have a love/hate relationship with Morrissey. Almost everything to come from his mouth in the past thirty years has been somewhere on the scale of mildly problematic to entirely bigoted. But -- and I hate making these kinds of grand statements -- I think he's an important artist, if anything for providing an alternative version of masculinity during a time when being an "out" musician was a rarity. And, hey, let's face it, he's written some damn fine songs.

Love this song! The Dum Dum Girls do a great cover of it. And my band used to as well.
