I'm putting together a list of female-penned rock criticism. It's a work in progress.
I started this because as a inchoate music fan I read a lot of Greil Marcus, Lester Bangs, Richard Meltzer, and Robert Christgau, but virtually no books written by women. And searching through my local library's shelves, not much has changed.
Some of these books are pretty hard to find but definitely worth it if you can score a copy (virtual or paper and ink), and Google usually gives you a limited preview of each book, so all is not lost. Suggestions welcome.
